The 3rd largest spider in the world, after T. blondi and T. apophysis, adult males can reach epic legspans of 11 inches+.
Some people consider these spiders ugly giants, but this is more down to the way that they often sit very 'untidily' than the way they look, which is beautiful. Velvety black all over, but with bright pink hairs covering nearly all of their bodies, these spiders are awesome display animals, and choose to sit out in the open the majority of the time. This might be because their massive size gives them a sense of confidence not present in most spiders.
